Books & Publishing
For authors ready to stop saying "someday."
Maybe it's fully written and sitting in a drawer. Maybe it's half-finished. Maybe it's just an idea that won't leave you alone.
You know you need to publish it. You just don't know how—or you're stuck somewhere between the first draft and the finish line.
I've written 4 books. I've helped 6 authors publish theirs. I know what it takes to go from "I want to write a book" to "my book is done."
Let me help you finish yours.
You've been carrying this book for years.
Developmental Editing
Starting at $1,500
Your manuscript has potential—it just needs structure, clarity, and focus. I read your full manuscript and provide strategic feedback on plot, pacing, character development, structure, and themes. You'll get a detailed editorial letter with specific guidance on what's working, what's not, and how to strengthen your story.
Book Coaching
Starting at $2,000
Ongoing support as you write. We meet regularly (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) to talk through your manuscript, troubleshoot challenges, develop your story, and keep you accountable. I help you finish the book you started. Packages include manuscript review, feedback sessions, and strategic guidance throughout your writing process.
Publishing Guidance
Starting at $1,200
The roadmap from finished manuscript to published book. I help you navigate self-publishing, including: publishing platform selection, book formatting, cover design strategy, ISBN and distribution setup, launch planning, and marketing basics. You'll know exactly what to do next.
Author Platform Development
Starting at $3,000
Build your author platform before or alongside your book launch. Includes: author website design and copy, bio and about page, social media strategy, newsletter setup, and content planning. Everything you need to show up as a professional author.

For editing and coaching, I read your manuscript (or sample chapters) and develop a plan. For publishing guidance, I assess where you are in the process and create a roadmap.

FAQs
How long does developmental editing take?
1
Typically 3-4 weeks depending on manuscript length. I read your full manuscript, take detailed notes, and deliver a comprehensive editorial letter with feedback and revision guidance.
What's the difference between developmental editing and book coaching?
2
Developmental editing is a one-time deep dive into your completed (or mostly completed) manuscript with strategic feedback. Book coaching is ongoing support as you write—regular sessions, accountability, feedback on drafts as you go. Coaching is for writers who need help finishing. Editing is for writers who have a draft and need to know how to revise it.
Do I need to have my manuscript finished before working with you?
3
Not for book coaching—we can work together as you write. For developmental editing, yes, I need at least a complete draft to assess. For publishing guidance, you should have a finished, revised manuscript ready to go.
Do you ghostwrite books?
4
No. I coach, edit, and guide—but the book needs to be yours. I help you write it, not write it for you.
Do you do line editing or copyediting?
5
No. I focus on developmental editing—the big-picture stuff like structure, story, pacing, and voice. Line editing and copyediting (grammar, sentence-level work, proofreading) require a different skill set, and I want you working with someone who specializes in that. I have trusted editors in my network and I'm happy to connect you with them when you're ready for that stage.
Do you work with first-time authors?
6
Absolutely. I've helped aspiring authors go from idea to published book. If you're ready to commit to finishing, I'm ready to help you get there.
How do I pay?
7
I send an invoice through HoneyBook after we finalize the scope and pricing. You can pay via credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. A 50% deposit is due upfront to start, and the remaining balance is due when I deliver the final work.
